Bouquetin Intrépide: son nom français ne vous dit rien? Intrepid Ibex c'est lui, utilisable en version live, en Release Candidate 8.10, les fonctions étant réduites, cela nous laisse en appétit mais on en découvre juste assez, de façon progressive, pour s'y habituer; l'interface graphique est plutôt réussie, elle ressemble à un fossile gravé dans la pierre, on se désole de ne pas avoir la version 3.0 d'Open Office, il y a moyen de l'installer par une savante manoeuvre, je l ai pas essayé mais j ai trouvé un article, un mode d'emploi en anglais pour réussir l'installation.
Il vous sera plus facile de travailler en live session en utilisant une clé USB pour sauvegarder vos liens, textes, images, etc.

OpenOffice.org 3.0 running on Ubuntu 8.10 RC

I guess everyone already knows that OpenOffice.org 3.0.0 will not be available (sad, I know) for the Intrepid Ibex (Ubuntu 8.10), because the developers did not have enough time to test it, and they will introduce it later this year. Therefore, Ubuntu 8.10 ships with OpenOffice.org 2.4.1 and, if you want to use the new and improved version, then this guide is for you! However, we will not do a fresh install of the OpenOffice suite, as we will instead only upgrade the current version in Ubuntu Intrepid.
What do I need to get started? Ubuntu 8.10 (32-bit or 64-bit), which can be downloaded from here.
WARNING: This guide should be used with the final version of Ubuntu 8.10, due for release on October 30th. This warning will disappear in 3 days, when the final version of Ubuntu 8.10 will be released!
OK, so... first thing, you must add the OpenOffice.org 3.0 repositories, then upgrade the installed packages. Follow the steps below!
